I worked as a general employee at a locally owned grocery store, where I advanced to a role in upper management, focusing on ordering and pricing strategies. Over time, I developed valuable leadership skills, including guiding a team to complete tasks efficiently and within set deadlines. Eventually, I decided to leave the position to pursue my college education.

I worked on designing original t-shirts for a screen printing company, where I gained hands-on experience with the operation of screen printing press machinery. This role provided me with valuable insights into the production process and the technical aspects of creating custom apparel.

Spring 2021 - Winter 2024

Role: House Crew/Building Assistant

I was responsible for ensuring events at the University Center on the University of Memphis campus were smoothly executed. My duties included setting up event spaces with furniture, computers, microphones, and lighting based on client specifications. During my time in this role, I gained experience with the Crestron system, microphone receivers, and server tower functionality in large event spaces. Additionally, I developed troubleshooting skills for addressing technical issues related to these systems.

I collaborated with the University of Memphis to develop a web application that converts international GPA scales to the 4.0 scale. This tool, built using Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, is designed to assist in the admissions process for both undergraduate and graduate students.
